Went to the art gallery downtown today and added my future goals to their interactive installation. What you had to do was write down what you wanted to happen in your future, then take a card off the wall and replace it with your own. The future I took says, “Break into a jewlery store and strike it rich.” So there’s that.
Late lunch with the roomie at our favourite wrap restaurant! She was awesome enough to buy for me, since I’m flat broke until the last week of March, then I’mma take her out for lunch to return the favour.

Yesterday, roomie, babyzilla, and I went out for sushi at my absolute favourite sushi restaurant, Dami. It was where I was first introduced to authentic, fresh sushi, and whereI I tried my first octopus, eel, and shellfish. Roomie had never been, and I demanded she try their Monkey Brains (first + third picture). They tempura deep fry an avocado, cut it into fourths and fill it with deep fried crab and spicy tuna, then drizzle it with teriyaki. I started with that and a bowl of miso, and ordered the spicy tuna roll and sashimi (two red snapper, two tuna, and two salmon), and one unagi (eel). Along with our sushi, they also gave us each a special snapper sampler (on the cabbage). Our server was so sweet, too, he kept coming over to make babyzilla laugh and smile, and even brought him a baby plate of sweet egg to nibble on, and he loved it! Sadly not pictured, about halfway through the meal, they brought us, on the house, the chef’s special beef tataki. It was amazing. Neither of us really have the money or the means to go out for dinner like this, so to be treated so well when we do is so nice.

watching Instinct together with my mother for the first time in almost 11 years. this movie was a huge bonding moment for us when I was young, and it’s still one of my favourite films in existence. i’m going to cry for the rest of my life now.
my mom got a pet rat for christmas and the dog is seriously not impressed with this thing she’ll just sit and stare at it for a while and every time it makes a sound her ears prick up and you can just see the suspicion in her eyes and omg my brother picked the rat up and the dog dramatically fell to the floor and rolled over trying to get his attention.
